Kumasi Asante Kotoko produced a good performance to beat Liberty Professionals by two goals to nil in week eight of the Ghana Premier League.
Fabio Gama started his first game for Asante Kotoko since joining as a free agent and exhibited great skills of passes which give the club hopes.
Striker Kwame Opoku broke the virginity of the game early in the 10th minute after latching onto a Fabio Game pass inside the penalty box.
The partnership between Fabio Gama and Kwame Opoku proved strong with the two combining to score Kotoko’s second in the 19th minute which meant a brace for Opoku.
Both clubs looked cautious in the second with few chances created and none resulting in a goal. Two-nil the game ended.
Kotoko missed several players through injuries and four currently in self-isolation after testing positive for coronavirus.
Asante Kotoko moves from 12th position to 6th on the Ghana Premier League table with a game in hand.
