Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwabena Agyapong has suggested to the football fraternity to cut down on the gate fees at Ghana premier league games.
The ex-sports journalist reckons at least, the gate fees should be reduced to GHC5 to make room for more fans to be able to patronize the games.
According to him, football fans in Ghana are not that rich therefore there is a need for the gate fees to be slashed for stadium attendance to be much more encouraging.
Speaking on Kessben TV, Kwabena Agyapong stressed it will be more beneficial to the clubs and the game to charge GHC5 and have more fans at the stadia than charge GHC20 to have fewer spectators.
“On the Ghana premier league, I think the gate fees should be slashed to as low as GHC5, the popular stand which is GHC20 should be made GHC5.
