GFA bans 4 division one clubs

The Ghana Football Association prosecutor have penalised 4 division one clubs for failing to honour their MTN FA Cup preliminary stage games without any convincing reason.

In the Ghana Football Association rules, clubs who fail to honour any F.A sanctioned game without permission from the FA and without prior notice are deemed to have breeched regulation 11(B) of the FA regulations approved by congress on December 30th 2014 and amended on November 5th 2015.

New Edubiase, Okyemann Planners, Berekum Arsenal and Techiman City FC have all been charged by the FA for not honouring their MTN FA Cup preliminary round matches without permission from the FA making them breach regulation 11(B) of the FA regulation.

The four clubs have been banned from participating in the MTN FA Cup for the next two seasons and declared losers of their respective matches with a fine of GH¢5000 each.
