GFA President Shows Support to Ghanain Players Stranded at Ethiopia

Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku has jumped to the rescue of Ghanaian players stranded at Ethiopia following the closure of borders in Ghana.

The Government of Ghana has ordered for the closure of borders in the wake of Coronavirus and this has a result made some Ghanains in the diaspora stranded including Ghanain players at Ethiopia.

A video surfaced on the internet today with Black Stars player Lee Addy and goalkeeper and other Ghanain players crying for help.

Reacting to the news, Kurt Okraku has revealed that he has got in touch with the Sports Ministry and they will get in touch with them soon.

“I have just taken notice of a video of some Ghanaian Footballers who seem to be stranded in Ethiopia..I am in contact with Hon Issac Kwame Asiamah (Sports Minister)who has directed that, contact be made with the boys and the Ghana Embassy in Ethiopia…..
All hands on deck at the moment to offer every support to our brothers…..
Soon ,….this too shall pass!!!!!!” He posted on his official Facebook page.
