GFA Spends A Lot On National Teams – Communications Director

Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association Henry explained that the Ghana Football Association spends on the various national teams.

Asante Twum’s explanation came after section of the media and football Administrators disagreed on the decision of the Ghana Football Association to allocates part of the FIFA Covid-19 Relief Fund to the various national teams.

“The Black Stars for instance, When
C. K Akonnor was appointed as coach of the Black stars, he spent three weeks in Europe scouting and engaging Players, not even a Pesewa of that was catered for by Government, the FA paid for every single cost from his tickets, feeding etc” Mr Henry Asante Twum told Starr FM.

He maintains the  FA has spents huge sums of monies for the various National teams without the involvement of Government citing a recent U17 camping in Cape Coast.

“Before Covid -19 the National-17 team were camped for nine weeks in Cape Coast, all the cost were catered for by the Ghana FA. So its not factually correct that Government takes care of all cost on National teams. The GFA has and continues to spend on our national teams.”
