Ghana Football Association will announce sponsorships soon

The head of Public Relations Strategy at the Ghana Football Association, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, has revealed that the association is gearing up to announce new sponsorships.

The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season commenced without a headline sponsor after betPawa withdrew midway through the previous season.

Armstrong-Mortagbe touted the credentials of the administration and their ability to raise sponsorships, claiming they have raised over 23 million in revenue over the past four years.

“From when we finished this league until now, it’s been quite a short period, full of many activities, but this administration has done it in the past,” Mortagbe said in an interview played on Asempa FM.

“[We] raised sponsorship from 2.3 million to 23.1 million. In four years, that’s a 909% increase. The expertise is there.

“The appetite may not be what it used to be, and it’s our job in PR, strategy, marketing, and business development to ensure that we secure the resources needed to support our league so that our talents stay a bit longer, light up our fields, and make the game as enjoyable as we want it to be.

“So, there’s a lot of work going on, and I’m sure that in due course, we will be announcing the relevant sponsorships that have come through.
