Ghana placed in pot two with Nigeria ahead of AFCON draw next month

Earlier today, various participating teams for next year’s AFCON were seeded in pots ahead of the draw for the 2023 AFCON tournament, scheduled to take place next month.

Ghana stands a chance to face the champions of Africa Senagal, the host country, the Ivory Coast, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Algeria, who are all in pot 1 for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations draw.

These teams will be divided into six groups of four, corresponding to groups A through F at the draw, with a team from each pot making up each group.

The Super Eagles have no opportunity of avenging their West African opponents in the competition’s group stage because the Black Stars are seeded in the same pot as their rivals Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Dr. Congo.

Ghana aims to get a favorable group in other to start off their campaign well as they hope to win the AFCON next year .
