Television right owners of the Ghana Premier League, Startimes Limited per a reliable source have paid a fee of $100,000.00 to the Ghana Football Association, part payment of a TV right sponsorship deal.
As a result, All 18 Ghana Premier League clubs are expected to receive a paycheque of $5,000.00 from the Association.
According to the information, the clubs started receiving their cheques on Monday morning, and it is expected that it will reflect in their accounts by the close of the week.
With clubs on their knees due to financial difficulties, the package will help to a larger extent until football returns.
The league season is currently on hold indefinitely as the country continues to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
