The Black Stars of Ghana suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an international friendly played on Friday evening at Grande de Stade Marrakech in Morocco.
Cyriel Dessers opened the scoring for Nigeria from the penalty spot in the 38th minute. The lead was doubled by Ademola Lookman in the 84th minute, putting Ghana in a difficult position.
Ghana managed to pull one goal back in the 94th minute from a penalty by Jordan Ayew, but it was not enough to secure a draw.
Ghana’s next international friendly will be against Uganda on Tuesday, March 26th, while Nigeria will face Mali on the same day. Both matches will take place in Marrakech.
