Former Bechem United defender Richard Boateng has disclosed that the best moment of his career as a footballer was winning the MTN FA Cup in 2016.
Boateng lifted the trophy with Bechem United after beating Okwawu United at the Cape Coast stadium in September 2016 which was the first FA cup win in the history of the Bechem boys.
In an interview with GBC Volta Star radio the defender who currently plies his trade with Kpando Hearts of Lions explained that the FA cup triumph has been the highlight of his career as a footballer.
“My best moment as a player was winning the MTN FA cup which is the second highest club competition in Ghana.”
“As a player you will always wish to win a cup with any team you play for, so winning the MTN FA cup with Bechem was the best moment for me.” he said.
Richard who claims he’s happy at his current club further explained that Hearts of Lions have the potential to qualify to the Premier league sooner than expected.
I’m happy to be with Lions now and our aim as a club is to qualify to the premier league and we are doing everything possible to achieve this ” Richard added.
Richard played 10 out of 13 matches for the Kpando based side before the season was halted.
