Ghanaian forward Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer emerged as the hero for Hamburger SV as they secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Elversberg in the German Bundesliga 2 on Sunday.
The 22-year-old, who recently represented Ghana at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, found the net in the 53rd minute, securing all three points for his club. Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer played 65 minutes of the game before being replaced by Anssi Suhonen.
This brings his tally to 2 goals and 2 assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this season.
The victory strengthens Hamburger SV’s position in third place of the Bundesliga 2 table with 41 points after 23 matches.
Their next challenge comes on March 3rd, as they host Osnabrück in their quest for promotion to the Bundesliga.
