The Black Satellites of Ghana are setting their sights on the gold medal at the ongoing 2023 African Games, with assistant coach Fatawu Salifu expressing confidence in their abilities.
‘’We are targeting the trophy, and of course, with good performance, we are looking to achieve the best for Ghana,” declared Coach Fatawu Salifu, highlighting the team’s aspirations.
He acknowledged the expectations placed upon them by Ghanaian fans, stating, “Ghanaians will always expect to see high performance from Ghanaian teams.”
Salifu expressed his belief in the team’s potential, saying, “[I am] very confident that we are going to deliver the best for the nation.”
Black Satellites are set to face their first test on Friday, March 8, when they take on Congo in their opening Group A match at the Accra Sports Stadium. The match kicks off at 15:00 GMT, marking the beginning of their journey towards their ambitious goal.
Ghana is placed in Group A alongside Congo, Benin, and Gambia. Successfully navigating this group stage will be crucial for their advancement in the tournament.
