Ghana’s Isaac Pappoe Makes Big Move to Hungarian Giants Ferencvárosi
Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Pappoe has bolstered his career with a move to Hungarian giants Ferencvárosi ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The 20-year-old joins the topflight club from Israeli side FC Ashdod, with transfer details undisclosed.
Pappoe impressed during a loan spell with Swiss second-tier team FC Aarau last season, contributing 2 goals and 5 assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
He previously played for Israeli club AS Ashdod on loan after joining them from Ghanaian lower-tier side Golden Kicks SC in 2022.
“It is an amazing team and a big family, so I chose this team to improve more and get to the top,” Isaac Pappoe said in his first interview with Ferencvárosi. “I know they have a new coach this season, so I am here to do my best.”
Ferencvárosi, dominant champions of the Hungarian league with 74 points last season, will compete in the prestigious UEFA Champions League for the upcoming campaign. Pappoe’s talent and ambition are sure to be assets for the club as they navigate both domestic and European challenges.
