Danish-born Ghanaian forward Osman Addo was the hero as Boldklubben af 1893 secured a 2-1 win against FC Roskilde in the Danish second-tier league.
The young attacker scored the opening goal of the game in the seventh minute, marking his first goal of the 2024/25 season.
Addo, who has made two league appearances this term, showcased his talent with a clinical finish that gave his side an early lead. However, FC Roskilde responded swiftly, equalizing through Roni Arabaci just five minutes later.
The game remained evenly poised until the 40th minute when Fisnik Isaki put Boldklubben back in front, securing all three points for the home side. The second half failed to produce any further goals as Boldklubben held on to their slender advantage.
The victory propels Boldklubben to second place in the league table with four points from their opening two matches. Their next league encounter comes against Vendsyssel FF on August 2.
Addo, who was promoted to the first team from the club’s under-19 side in May 2024, has already made a significant impact. He contributed four goals and three assists in ten league matches during his breakthrough campaign last season.
His impressive performance against FC Roskilde will undoubtedly boost his confidence and enhance his reputation as one of the brightest young talents in Danish football. Addo was replaced by Jonathan Mathy in the 80th minute of the game.
Sofascore awarded Addo a rating of 7.6 for his performance, a testament to his impact on the game. As Osman Addo continues to gain experience, the 19-year-old is expected to play a crucial role in Boldklubben af 1893’s push for promotion to the Danish Superliga.
