Government Set To Pay Ex-Black Stars Coach Akwesi Appiah And Other National Team Coaches.

Kofi Asare Brako, Special Aid to the Minister of Youth and Sports has revealed that the Ministry is working and are close in paying outstanding bonuses and salaries of Coach Akwesi Appiah and the other national team coaches.

According to Mr. Brako, the list will include former Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko as well as former Black Stars ‘B’ coach Maxwell Konadu who are all waiting to be paid after various services.

In an exclusive interview with Accra based Happy FM, Asare Brako said:

“The Sports Ministry has been engaging all these coaches and we are working around the clock to pay them their outstanding salaries and bonuses.”

“He shouldn’t have come out to give that ultimatum to GFA that if they don’t pay by the deadline he would take the GFA to FIFA. This will be a disgrace to the country if the case is sent to FIFA”.

Kwasi Appiah following his exit as Black Stars’ boss is owed US$185,000 and has threatened to match to FIFA if the above-stated amount is not paid.
