Elmina Sharks head coach Yaw Acheampong has said clubs in Ghana needs support from the government in this covid-19 pandemic where they are also part business struggling financially.
In an interview with western regional Ace sport journalist Alex Adu, he also said if the government can arrange stimulus packages for businesses to get back on their feet, they should take football clubs into consideration as they will also need those covid-19 government fund which they were excluded from to survive.
“Now that teams are not doing anything, they are still paying us. I sometimes ask myself where they get the money to pay us. So I believe the government should help.”
