Brazilian football club Gremio have verbally agreed on a two year deal with Luiz Suarez after his departure from Nacional.
The former Barcelona man moved to Nacional after a great final stint in Spain where he led Atletico Madrid to glory in the La Liga Santander 2020/2021 season.
He later moved to his boyhood club and helped Nacional secure the 2022 Uruguayan Primera Division title.
He signed off in style after a brace in a 4-1 victory over Montevideo
Gremio after finishing second in the 2022 Brasileiro Serie B were promoted back to the top flight of Brazilian Club football.
Suarez is expected to be in action for Gremio in the Brazilian Serie A when the new season begins in April 2023.
According to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, Luiz Suarez has a verbal agreement in place with the Brazilian side and this looks like his final destination.
