Manchester City put three past Leeds away from home in the Premier League to close in on Arsenal with Erling Haaland scoring a brace.
It was Leeds who remained resilient in defense until a minute to the break when Mahrez’s shot fell to Rodri who put the Champions in front.
Leeds looked to break on the counter with Rodrigo yet failed to find an equalizer in the early minutes of the second half.
The second half saw Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland put two past Meslier with two assists off Jack Grealish in fifteen minutes to make it three for City.
However, Leeds pulled one back in the 73rd minute after Pascal Struijk’s header went past Ederson from a well driven Sam Greenwood Free kick to give the hosts hope with over 15 minutes to play.
Leeds failed to find themselves back into the game and were completely outplayed by the visitors in the final 20 minutes.
City return to second place above Newcastle yet behind leaders Arsenal as the quest to make it three league titles in a row remains alive.
