Hearts of Oak have strongly condemned the violence that erupted during the match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko at Nsoatre Park, which led to the tragic death of a Kotoko supporter.
In an official statement, the club expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing that such acts of hooliganism undermine the values of unity and entertainment that football embodies. Hearts of Oak reaffirmed the need to maintain the sport’s integrity and promote the #BringBackTheLove campaign to restore passion and discipline in Ghanaian football.
“As committed advocates against any actions that dishonor our sport, Accra Hearts of Oak extends our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, affectionately known as ‘Pooley.’ His contributions and passion for the game will be remembered by everyone within the football community,” the club stated.
