Accra Hearts of Oak travelled to the Nana Kronmansah Park as they took on the ever resilient and newly promoted Nsoatreman side who were without defeat at home this season yet managed to end that run.
Referee Osman Imoro led the officiating of the game as both sides begun with enthusiasm after the BetPawa Premier League returned.
Nsoatreman begun the game on the right note as they created chances and spaces for their attackers and looked to find the opener yet Hearts goalkeeper Richard Aryee was at the top of his game making incredible saves to keep the 2021 league winners in the game.
Moments after, Salisu Ibrahim swung in a beautiful set piece which eventually threatened the Nsoatreman goal yet the Accra based side could not find the opener going into the break.
However, the opening minutes of the second half saw a final ball from Eric Esso split the entire Nsoatreman defense and a blunder from the Nsoatreman goalkeeper Daniel Afadwu had Kwadjo Obeng Junior slot in beautifully and give the visitors the lead.
Slavko Matic’s side were without five key players in Gladson Awako, Seidu Suraj, Dennis Korsah, Konadu Yiadom and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh yet managed to go ahead and win it to find themselves second place on the BetPawa Premier League table.
