Former Hearts of Oak player has joined the training by revealing the performance of his former club in their last game.
Amankwah Mireku has revealed about any significant improvement in the team’s performance despite their win against Bechem United.
Prior to the clash, the Phobians were without a win in their first two games, raising concerns among fans.
Mireku attended the match at the Legon Stadium and, in a post-game interview, conveyed his lack of satisfaction with the team’s display.
“In terms of the performance, I have not seen anything different. It is just that they scored the goals. When it comes to the performance, I am still not okay,” he told Gil Media.
“I also know that many of the supporters were not okay too, but they have won, that is the most important thing.”
The breakthrough came just seven minutes into the second half when left-back Ransford Mensah converted a free kick, giving Hearts the lead.
The Phobians earned the free kick after Nketsiah Christianson committed a foul just outside the penalty area.
Hearts of Oak maintained their momentum, doubling their advantage in the 75th minute with a well-placed header from Hamza Issah, who capitalised on an excellent assist from substitute Stephen Appiah.
With this victory, Hearts of Oak climbed to 11th place on the league table.
Looking ahead, they will travel to face Nations FC in their next match, while Bechem United prepares to host Dreams FC. Fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming fixtures.
