Head coach of the Black Satellite, Abdul Karim Zito has registered his displeasure with the performance of his players at the ongoing Maurice Revello tournament in France.
The Black Satellites shamefully lost to Indonesia by a goal in their second group game, having lost the first to Mexico.
Speaking to the press after the game, Coach Zito revealed that he did his part as a coach to make sure his side gets the goals upfront but the players failed to show up when it needed most.
According to Zito, Ghanaians back home will blame him for how woefully they’ve performed but he feels he did his best for the team as the responsibility to put the ball in the net rest solely on the players which they failed to do.
“We created all the chances in this game but failed to score. This is what i call injustice of football.”
“Everyone home will blame me but i did my part as a coach. Putting the ball into the net is the role of the players and not me.”
“I’m very disappointed because we were very high in terms of play but failed upfront.
At least we should have drawn this game.”
The Black Satellites will play their final game on Sunday against Venezuela at the Stade De Lattre De Tassigny.
