Former Black Stars goalkeeper Fataw Dauda has revealed his desire to return to the Black Stars not as a player but this time as a goalkeepers coach.
According to the former Legon Cities shot-stopper, a move to return to the Black Stars as a backup to goalkeepers trainer Richard Kingston will be a great service to him and the nation.
“I prefer to be a goalkeeper’s trainer at the Black Stars. We have ‘Senior Man’ Richard Olele Kingston there already and he is teaching them well. Nobody is perfect so I keep on learning. You can only go far when you keep on learning”
“If I will make a return to the national team then I will accept the call to assist ‘Olele’. Sometimes when the boys see you around is another encouragement for them like how Olele is there because he’s been at the World Cup before. It will encourage the boys while he is there as a trainer”
“For me to join the team then it will be at the goalkeeping department but my concentration is not about playing”, he told Accra based Original.
Fataw has played in three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and featured in two matches at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
His career has seen him play for Orlando Pirates(South Africa), Enyimba FC in Nigeria where he was a league winner, Okwahu United, AshantiGold, Chippa United and more recently Legon Cities.
