“I Wouldn’t Mind Sending Asamoah Gyan To World Cup If I Am The Coach ” – FA Cup Committee Chairman

The President of Division One League side Skyy FC, Hon. Wilson Arthur has said that it will not be a problem for him to add Asamoah Gyan to the Black Stars World Cup team if he were the coach, “I wouldn’t mind Including Asamoah Gyan on the World Cup Team if the coach”

Speaking to the host of The Legend Sports Show, Justice Adusi Poku last Wednesday on Atinka 104.7 FM, the Chairman of MTN FA Cup Committee Ghana, explained that per Asamoah Gyan’s competence, pedigree and experience, magic can be created if he is given 10 minutes to play for the Black Stars during the World Cup in Qatar 2022.

Hon. Wilson Arthur asserted that in selecting players as a coach, you would have select the best and those who are good at getting the job done, “and that is what the Black Stars coach will do when selecting players for the World Cup team”.

He stated that if he were the coach, “he would love to have Asamoah Gyan on the team because he would be a motivation for the boys”

Chairman Wilson Arthur didn’t speak only Asamoah Gyan being part of the Black Stars World Cup Team but also Samuel Inkoom and Sulley Ali Muntari as well. He expressed that he would have chosen Samuel Inkoom to be part of the World Cup team after seeing his activitines, form and fitness when he paid a visit to the training ground of Accra Hearts Of Oak Football Club.

He explained however, that between Muntari and Gyan, he would prefer having Gyan and at the World Cup. “It’s because Sulley’s position requires or demands more energy than that of Asamoah Gyan’s”, he argued.
