Trevoh Chalobah wants to stay and fight for his place in the Chelsea squad under Mauricio Pochettino, but Inter Milan are looking to push a deal over the line before the Argentine manager arrives.
Chalobah agreed a six-year contract extension at Chelsea in November 2022 after forcing his way into the Premier League side under their former manager Graham Potter.
However, Chalobah struggled for pitch time prior to the arrival of Chelsea’s caretaker manager Frank Lampard and will be looking to cement a regular place in the squad under Pochettino.
Although, Inter Milan are said to be stepping up their efforts to sign the 23-year-old defender before the Argentine manager arrives at Stamford Bridge, according to the Evening Standard.
Chelsea are reportedly valuing Chalobah at around £25million and Inter are said to be willing to match the club’s asking price to secure his services ahead of the 2023-2024 campaign.
