It ‘Wasn’t Luck’ – Hearts Of Oak Coach Reacts To Win Over Sharks

Hearts of Oak assistant coach Hamza Obeng says his side’s win over Elmina Sharks in the MTN FA Cup is not based on luck.

The Phobians qualified for the next phase of the competition following an 8-7 win in a penalty shootout after the game ended in 2-2 draw in regulation time.

“ Our win tonight was not based on luck, we really worked hard for it. We always work on our penalty shootout,” he added.

Hearts of Oak took the lead through Isaac Mensah before Sharks responded and extended the lead courtesy Ishmael Antwi’s brace.

With 10 minutes of additional time, Hearts of Oak pulled parity through Kofi Kodzie after Razak was brought down in the box.

The Phobians went ahead to win the game after a penalty shootout to qualify for the quarterfinals stage of the competition.
