‘It’s Always Good For The Country’ – Johnathan Mensah Shares Opinion On New Blackstars Addition

Blackstars centerback Jonathan Mensah has applauded the inclusion of the new players who switched nationalities.

Earlier last month five players were announced by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after declaring their intentions to play for the Blackstars.

The players who are now available for selection when the Black Stars have an assignment include Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, Stephen Ambrosius, Patrick Pfeffer, and Ransford Yeboah, William Inaki.

“It’s always good for the country but honestly, me as a player, I don’t have any problem with that but I would have my opinion. Sometimes, you put things into perceptive and all that, but people outside will also raise concerns about their none participation in qualifiers.

“Sometimes it happens that way. Some come and play qualifiers and do not play in the tournament proper for some reasons. But you know am not a coach nor a management member, he told footballghana.

Ghana are in group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in the upcoming 2022 Worldcup.
