JUST IN: FIFA Makes Fresh Changes To Match Officials In Ghana Vrs Nigeria Clash

FIFA has made slim changes to match officials who are in charge of the World Cup Qualifier playoff between Ghana and Nigeria.

The world football governing body made minor changes ahead of the game.

Soccanews.com understands a fresh appointment sheet has been sent to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Ghana FA regarding these new changes.

Morocco’s Rédouane Jiyed is retained as center referee for the first leg duel in Cape Coast.

Jiyed will be assisted by three of his compatriots, Lahsen Azgaou (as assistant referee 1), Mostafa Akarkad (as assistant referee 2) and Samir Guezzaz (as fourth official).

But Mandu Humphrey of Uganda has now been named to replace South Africa’s David Junse Van Vuuren as Security Officer.

Bernie Raymond Blom from The Netherlands will be the VAR official, to be assisted by compatriot Rob Dieperink, while Athanse Nkubito from Rwanda will be the referee assessor.

Both sides are vying for the one slot of the five for teams that will represent the continent.

The first leg will be played in Ghana on March 25 before the return leg will be honored in Nigeria three days later.
