Karela United drops to relegation zone after defeat to Dwarfs

Struggling Karela United are in the danger zone after their 1-2 defeat to home side Ebusua Dwarfs in the match day 10 of the Ghana Premier league at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The Nzema based side who started the league on a wrong foot have been struggling with winning consistency having managed to win 2 games, drawn 3 and lost 5.

Karela Unite were hoping to turns around at one of their comfortable grounds in their game with another relegation threatened but didn’t end well.

Sadiq Alhassan’s 30th minute goal wasn’t enough for the visitors to sail through the entire minutes with a victory.

Karela United started the first half of the game on a good note which resulted in a goal for them in the 30th Minutes through Sadiq Alhassan. The visitors held on to that lead till the end of the half.

The home side came in the second half with a new energy, tormenting the defense of Karela United which resulted in a goal in the 69th minutes level pegging the game.

Ebusua Dwarfs who weren’t content with sharing points with Karela United kept pushing harder till they got the second goal through Ishmael Antwi in the 76th minute which they held on till the end of the game.

Home side Ebusua Dwarfs who is in the process of escaping relegation, are now placed 16th with 10 points while visitors Kerela United have dropped to 17th with 9 points after 10 games.
