Karela United Taste First Defeat At Home After Good Asante Kotoko Show.

Karela United lost their first-ever home game at the Crosby Awuah Memorial park following a 2:0 defeat to Asante Kotoko.

Kotoko started on a good note with Imoro Ibrahim giving them the lead I’m the 38th minute ensuring his side leads at half time.

Striker Kwame Opoku extended Kotoko’s lead in the 65th minute after getting to the end of Emmanuel Gyamfi’s through pass to set himself up with the goalkeeper before finishing off with a clinical low strike into the left bottom corner.

Karela United threatened in the dying embers of the game but failed to convert any of the chances created. 2:0 the game ended.

The results lift Asante Kotoko to the summit of the league table with 23 points with high hopes of winning the league.
