Kelechi Iheanacho’s 30th-minute strike
ends  Egypt unbeaten run at the Africa Cup of Nations group stage

Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike at the 30th minute handed the super Eagles the three maximum points over the Egyptians in their first Afcon game.

Egypt faces a difficult start in their journey to reclaim the title they won three times in a row between 2006-10, with three-time winners Nigeria no doubt also confident of making a deep run in the competition after a semi-final tilt three years ago.

Egypt are unbeaten in each of their last 16 group matches at the Africa Cup of Nations (W12 D4). Their last defeat in the group phase dates back to the 2004 tournament (1-2 v Algeria).

Liverpool star man Mohamed Salah side Egypt was kept quite as   the super Eagles of  Nigeria  gives them their first loss in the 2022 African cup of Nation in Cameroon.
