Bibiani Gold Stars striker Prince Owusu Kwabena has confirmed his imminent move to Asante Kotoko for the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
“I will be joining Asante Kotoko in the second round of the Ghana Premier League,” announced the 26-year-old striker in an interview with Oyerepa FM/TV.
Prince Owusu Kwabena, who showcased his prowess with six goals and one assist in the first half of the season, has been a standout player for Bibiani Gold Stars.
Having joined Gold Stars in 2018 from Unistar Academy, Prince has been on Asante Kotoko’s radar since 2021.
The Porcupines warriors, currently third on the Ghana league table with 29 points, are determined to challenge for the title in the second half.
Owusu Kwabena’s arrival adds firepower to their already potent attack, alongside the likes of Georges Mfegue and Stephen Mukwala.
His participation in Gold Stars’ FA Cup defeat to Kotoko, where he featured despite the imminent transfer, showcased his commitment and professionalism. Now, he faces the challenge of adapting to a new environment and delivering for the demanding Kotoko fans.
