Kumasi Asante Kotoko Caf Champions League second leg prelims game against Nouadhibou Football Club at the Accra Sports Stadium has been called off due to to a suspected covid case in the camp of the Mauritanian Champions.
According to multiple reports, two of Nouadhibou players who tested positive for the virus were not isolated from playing so the refree on the day delayed the game for more than an hour but had to call it off.
A lot of people have shared their opinions as to what the Caf rules have said with regard to the ruling of on this matter.
But former WA All Stars CEO, Mr Oduro Nyarko has shared his candid opinion on this, stating kotoko will win the board room point.
“You cannot use Covid as an excuse not to play games according to Caf regulations. Caf will sanction the club for not honoring the game. They were required to play the game. Kotoko has qualified by what the regulations state”. He spoke on Light Fm
