Ghanaian sensation Mohammed Kudus enjoyed a night of double triumph at the 48th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards, walking away with both Sports Personality of the Year and Foreign Based Footballer of the Year accolades.

The 24-year-old forward had an exceptional season with Ajax, boasting an impressive tally of 18 goals, a performance that paved the way for his move to West Ham, where he continues to shine with 9 goals to his name.

Meanwhile, Medeama SC striker Jonathan Sowah claimed the Local-Based Footballer of the Year title. Sowah’s 12 goals were crucial to Medeama’s Ghana Premier League title triumph and their CAF Champions League group stage qualification, showcasing his talent and dedication on the domestic scene.

The 2023 SWAG Awards recognize and celebrate sporting excellence in Ghana, honouring outstanding athletes, teams, and officials across various disciplines.
