Western Region’s ace sports presenter Kuntu Blankson has penned a letter to the leaders of the region mainly the Regional Minister Hon, Kwabena Otchere Darko Mensah, Member of parliament for Essikado-Ketan consistuency Hon.Joe Ghartey, Leader of the Western Regional Sports Committee Hon. Wilson Arthur in helping to put the Sekondi Sports Stadium to a good and profitable use after the renovation.

WESTERN REGION RISE UP-KUNTU BLANKSON
On Monday(4th May, 2020) I had the opportunity witness the sod cutting ceremony of the Sekondi Sports stadium renovation project and trust me, reality is the government of the day has put smiles on the face of the whole region(Western region).
It was a very short but revealing ceremony where you will ask several questions why authority will allow a beautiful edifice constructed to host the 2008 AFCON to rot without any sought of renovation in twelve(12) years.
Fast forward under the leadership of a man I have soo much of respect for, Adwumawura who wouldn’t lament but fix problems,here we are the Sekondi sports studium is about retaking shape.He promised the good people of the Western Region he will fix it and truly Adwumawura has delivered on his promise.
MY HUMBLE PLEA
As a veteran sports journalist with several years of experience in broadcast journalism and a local boy I humbly plead with all soundry(The abled Regional Minister Hon Kobby Otchere Darko Mensah,Western region,the Member of parliament for Essikado-Ketan consistuency Hon.Joe Ghartey,the Western region sports commitee under the leadership of Hon.Wilson Arthur,the NSA and all) to put the edifice in good use after its renovation,we can’t continue making the same mistakes over and over and turn to criticise a fraction.We all have a responsibility to make Sekondi sports studium a beautiful place and well managed when renovation is complete.
ADWUAMAWURA DESERVE ALL THE CREDIT
Mr. Minister of youth and Sports promised Western region the edifice will be renovated some years back,i had doubts over his ability to deliver on his promise because his predecessor made a similar promise which he couldn’t deliver,here we are ADWUAMAWURA I.E Isaac Asiamah has constantly delivered on promises,here we are its a reality,again the construction of the Axim sports complex is almost complete with several of such facilities across Ghana.Kudos Minister,not suprised he is ranked the best since 1992,he really isnt a minister of lamentations but fixes problems.Western Region thanks you soo much.
