James Kwasi Appiah, a former captain and head coach of the Black Stars, is expected to be chosen the new manager of the Sudanese national team.
Asante Kotoko’s interim management committee member Kwasi Appiah will sign a three-year contract to lead Sudan in the upcoming seasons.
When he signs the contract, the Kotoko icon will reportedly earn among the highest salaries of any coaches on the continent.
After leading Al Khartoum FC for three years (2014–2017), the 63-year-old will return to Sundanese football.
According to reports, Kwasi Appiah would receive a $50,000 monthly pay, which is a rise from the $32,000 he was receiving as the Black Stars coach.
