Former Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston has stated that the lifetime ban on ex Ghana Football Association boss remains unfortunate, and believes the decision by the world’s football governing body was harsh.
Nyantakyi after the Anas exposé was banned by FIFA’s ethics committee for life after being found guilty of bribery and corruption.
“For me, I feel very sad and bad about that situation. He( Nyantakyi) Fred Pappoe had always been with during our time, he told Untold Stories which airs on Starr FM.
“Something like shouldn’t have happened. It should not happen to him or any human being. It’s very harsh and unfortunate.
“He had done extremely well compared to his predecessors. If you compare to him to the previous chairmen, he is if not the best if you put everything together.”
Laryea during his stay with the Black Stars scored 6 goals in 41appearancese, missing Ghana’s first world cup appearance in Germany 2006.
