Legon Cities sign former Hearts of Oak defender

Ghana Premier League strugglers Legon Cities have bolstered their squad with the signing of former Hearts of Oak defender Robert Sowah Addo.

The experienced centre-back returns to the Ghana Premier League after leaving Hearts of Oak in June 2023.

The former league champion is expected to strengthen the defence of Legon Cities ahead of the start of the season.

He becomes the fifth signing of the club in January, joining latest arrivals Elijah Satekla and Emmanuel Gyamfi formerly of Asante Kotoko.

The team coached by former Ghana international Yaw Acheampong, struggled in the first round of the league, finishing 17th with 14 points.

However, Sowah Addo’s signing and further recruitments are expected to stir the team away from the drop.

The transfer window in Ghana will close on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
