Lionel Messi has thrown his support for former Barcelona team mate Samuel Eto’o in the upcoming football president elections in Cameroon.
Messi in a Twitter post wished Eto’o well in the elections in December and threw his support for the former Cameroonian icon.
Eto’o is on the verge of taking the affairs of Cameroon football from former federation president, Seidu Mbombo Njoya whose tenure was terminated by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
Samuel Eto’o main task would be rebuilding Cameroon football and winning the African cup of nations which will be hosted by the Indomitable Lions in January, 2022.
