Manhyia requests GFA for additional two weeks to finalise Kotoko board

Manhyia have requested the Ghana Football Association to grant them additional two weeks to help establish a board of directors for Asante Kotoko which is a requirement of the Club Licensing Board.

In the past couple of days there have been several reports suggesting that the Manhyia Palace have been unable to form a Board of directors due to the coronavirus pandemic which has resulted in a lockdown issued by the President of Ghana to help curb the spread of the deadly virus.

Due to the lockdown, it has been extremely difficult to schedule a meeting to better tackle the issue concerning the formation of the team’s board.

A report received by Kumasi based radio station Oyerepa FM revealed that Manhyia Palace has written to the GFA to request an additional two weeks to complete the formation of the board.

The Chief of staff will schedule a meeting with the nominated individuals to be strictly observed before they are confirmed as board of directors.

His Royal Majesty on receipt of the suggested names advised the Executive chairman of the club Dr. Kyei to allow the Chief of Staff to meet with them before they are inducted.
