Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways with a 4-0 resounding victory over Real Tamale United on match day 25 at the Babayara Sports Stadium.
Interim head coach Abdul Gazale secured a comfortable in his first game following the sacking of Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo.
Kotoko had failed to win in their last two games ahead of the match up against in form Real Tamale United. The pride of the North remained unbeaten in their last 7 matches.
Asante Kotoko started the game on a good note by piling pressure on the visitors, Brazilian Matheus De Souza came close to opening the scoring with a header but was denied by a timely goal-line clearance from Sadat Mohammed.
Kotoko finally got the opener via a free kick in the 36th minute, right back Augustine Agyapong drilled in a brilliant strike beating newly introduced goalkeeper Lukman Sheriff.
Two minutes after the break, Referee Daniel Laryea awarded a penalty to Asante Kotoko. Steven Mukwala Dese stepped up and made it two for Kotoko.
Mukwala was on the scoresheet again in the 64th minute to make it 3-0, before Brazilian Medeiros De Souza scored his debut goal for Kotoko in added time.
Real Tamale United played over sixty minutes of the game as a manless side following the straight red card shown to goalkeeper Osei Yaw on the half-hour mark.
