Match Report: Hafiz Wontah Konkoni scores match winner against Hearts of Oak

Hafiz Wontah’s solitary strike fetched Bechem United the three maximum points against Accra Hearts of Oak at the Nana Fosu Gyeabor Park in a keenly contested game. 

The game was characterized by few goal scoring moments in the opening minutes. On the 21st minute Bechem United were awarded a penalty after Clinton Duodu was fouled in the box after.

Hafiz Wontah Konkoni stepped up and expertly converted from the spot to hand the hosts the lead.

The visitors came so close to getting the equalizer after Isaac Mensah connected a towering header but his effort couldn’t trouble the goalie.

Eric Ofori Antwi continued with his heroics after producing three huge stops on the 64th, 81st and 84th respectively to deny the visitors from getting their second.

It ended 1-0 after full time for the host who have now moved to the second position with 44 points.
