MATCH REPORT: Hasaacas Ladies Win First Home Game Of The Season.

Hasaacas Ladies played their first home game of the 2020/21 season against Thunder Queens in what happened to be a difficult encounter at the Sekondi Gyandu park.

Both teams created few chances in the first half with the only clear-cut opportunity falling in the way of striker Veronica Appiah whose shot was directed straight into the hands of goalkeeper Rose Teye Baah.

Hasmal saw much of the ball later part in the first half with Evelyn Badu dictating from midfield but failed to find the back of the net.

Hasaacas Ladies was awarded a penalty just four minutes into the second after Linda Eshun got fouled in the penalty box.

In the absence of Perpetual Agyekum, Millot Pokua stepped up and missed which postponed our lead earlier in the second half.

Coach Yussif Basigy threw more ladies upfront with the introduction of Perpetual Agyekum and Comfort Owusu.

Our lead finally came from a dangerous corner by Perpetual Agyekum which deflected into the net. The only goal the game produced.

Defender Janet Egyir was adjudged the Woman Player of the Match following a brilliant display, her second consecutive time.

The win keeps us in the second position on the Southern zone table with seven points, two points behind Berry Ladies who won today against Sea Lions 2:1.

Hasmal will engage Soccer Intellectuals in week four of the National Women’s League on the road, our third away game after Ladystrikers and Immigration Ladies.
