Match report: Man City 7-0 Leipzig (8-1 AGG): Haaland drops FIVE to send Cityzen into quarters

Erling Haaland scored five goals to fire Manchester City into the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday, as the Premier League champions thrashed RB Leipzig 7-0 in the second leg to win 8-1 on aggregate in their last-16 tie at the Etihad.

The Norwegian netted twice in 76 seconds for Pep Guardiola’s side midway through the first half before bundling home Ruben Dias’ header off the post just before the break, bagging his fifth hat-trick of the season.

Ilkay Gundogan made it four shortly after half-time, capping off an exceptional team goal, before Haaland struck twice in four minutes to take his tally to 33 goals for the season.

Kevin De Bruyne then curled home a stunning long-range effort of his own in stoppage time, earning a much-deserved goal after a sensational performance in attacking midfield.
