Nzema Kotoko suffered a defeat when they hosted Bibiani Gold Stars in week one of the 2020/21Division One league at the Sekondi Gyandu Park.
The home team dominated possession in the first but failed to convert any of the chances created despite the numerous penalty calls which the officials disallowed.
Nzema Kotoko continued to press in the second half but a moment of brilliance from Prince Owusu Kwabena in the 78th minute ensured a hard-fought win for Bibiani Gold Stars FC. One-nil the game ended.
Gold Stars will play as hosts to Bekwai Youth in week two while Nzema Kotoko will be on the road against Achiken FC.
