Samartex FC stunned Hearts of Oak by securing a 3-2 win over the Phobians on match day 30 of the Betpawa premier league at the Nsenkyire Sports Stadium.
The home team with shoned brightly in the opening minutes culminating in an early opener. In just five minutes into the game Kwasi Fosu broke the deadlock.
Sarmatex nearly made it two six minutes later but Richard Attah dealt with Keyekeh’s free kick. The host kept on putting pressure on the visitors as they searched for a second.
Hearts were dealt a huge blow On the 31st minute, captain Gladson Awako picked up a knock and was replaced with youngster Gideon Asante who came close to scoring just eleven minutes after joining the fray.
Back from recess, the Timber giants returned with so much pressure mounted on the giants including series of free kicks but all proved futile.
The Phobians drew level three minutes from the halftime break with a goal from substitute Gideon Asante Yeboah.
On the 63rd minute, the visitors injected urgency in their play and scored through Congolese international Linda Mtange to give his side the lead for the first time in the game but Sarmatex equalised from a free kick which was well taken by Emmanuel Keyekeh to draw the scoreline to 2-2.
Just and when Hearts of Oak thought they were leaving Samreboi with a point Samartex got the winning goal in stoppage-time when midfielder Dauda Yussif Seidu put the ball at the back of the net.
