Medeama Unveils Nebojsa Kapor as New Head Coach

In a strategic move to enhance their coaching staff, Medeama has officially welcomed Nebojsa Kapor as their new Head Coach. The 37-year-old Bosnian tactician has inked a one-year deal, with an option for a two-year renewal.

Nebojsa Kapor is no stranger to the Ghanaian football scene, having previously worked with Tema Youth and Bechem United. His expertise and commitment to player development align with the club’s vision, making him the preferred choice to succeed Evans Augustine Adotey, who transitions back to his role as Technical Director.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Kapor stated, “I am very happy to be here and also contribute to the success drive of the champions. This is an ambitious club, and I’m happy with everything going on here in Tarkwa.”

Acknowledging the legacy of his predecessor, Kapor added, “But it’s time for another hand to continue from where he left off in our pursuit to achieve excellence. I have a fair idea of the kind of talents at the club, and we hope to do our best to make it count.”

Known for his high-energy and eye-catching coaching style, Kapor is also recognized as a talent spotter, dedicated to unlocking the full potential of young players within a strong squad ethos.

“We can and we’ll challenge for trophies this season. We have a few games to cover up to the numbers of the teams on top of the table so we’ll see how it goes. Like I said, it’s a collective job, and we hope to set this club up for laurels,” remarked Kapor confidently.

Pending final documentation approval from the Ghana Football Association, Nebojsa Kapor will assume full control of the team. Born in Serbia, he holds a UEFA Licence A badge from the Croatia Football Federation and brings a wealth of experience, having served as a technical director for Football Schools and Camp Leotar Trebinje Premier League in Bosnia.

His previous roles also include heading the University Football team at Normal University, Hefei. With a successful stint at Tema Youth in 2021 and an unofficial tenure with Bechem United, Kapor’s appointment signifies Medeama’s strategic commitment to advancing their position in Ghanaian football.
