Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus has lauded West Ham for their understanding and support during Ramadan, the holy month in Islam marked by daily fasting from dawn to dusk.
“The times for reporting in and stuff like that are a bit more flexible because the guys [other teammates] they have breakfast and we don’t,” Kudus explained.
“So we can report in a bit later, which means we can have longer sleep because we woke up to eat at dawn. It’s a way the club supports us, and they provide foodstuffs as well, even when we are breaking the fast in between games.” He added
With Ramadan ending on April 9, Kudus will be well-rested and ready to contribute as West Ham takes on Bayern Leverkusen in the Europa League quarter-final first leg on April 11.
Mohammed Kudus has been a key player for the Hammers this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 5 assists in 36 games across all competitions.
