Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus was on target for West Ham United as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in a pre-season friendly in Florida.
The 23-year-old scored his first goal of the pre-season campaign, showcasing his talent in front of nearly 68,000 fans at the EverBank Stadium.
Mohammed Kudus played a pivotal role in the match, lasting 63 minutes before being substituted. His goal came just before halftime, cancelling out Matheus Cunha’s earlier opener for Wolves. However, the Premier League side were unable to maintain their momentum, with Rodrigo Gomes scoring twice in the second half to secure the victory for Wolves.
The defeat marks a setback for West Ham as they prepare for the upcoming 2024/25 Premier League season. Despite the result, Kudus’s performance offers a glimmer of hope for fans as the club looks to build on his talent and contributions in the coming months.
West Ham will continue their pre-season preparations with friendlies against Crystal Palace on August 3rd and Celta Vigo on August 10th before their Premier League opener against Aston Villa on August 17.
