Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus was instrumental in West Ham’s convincing 4-2 win over Brentford in the English Premier League on Monday night, ending their six-game winless streak and propelling them up the table.
The former Ajax winger provided a crucial assist to Jarrod Bowen, who went on to complete a hat-trick in the match. The Hammers also saw a goal from Emerson Palmieri, while Brentford’s efforts were rewarded with goals from Neal Maupay and Yoane Wissa.
This victory lifts West Ham to 8th place on the Premier League table with 39 points after 26 matches.
Speaking after the game, Mohammed Kudus reflected on the win, saying: “I think we wanted it more, and you could see that from the start. We got the goals quickly, and there was an energy and determination of how much we wanted to win today. It was good to get the three points.”
The assist adds to Kudus’ impressive season for West Ham, where he has contributed 2 assists and 6 goals in 21 Premier League appearances.
West Ham will aim to build on this momentum in their next league game against Everton on March 2. With Kudus playing a pivotal role in their resurgence, they hope to continue their climb up the Premier League table.
